Magenta Studio is a collection of five AI-powered tools packaged as a single MIDI plugin for Ableton Live. It works directly within your Live session, letting you apply machine learning models to your MIDI clips. You can extend melodies, generate new phrases from nothing, blend two musical ideas together, humanize drum patterns, or create drum parts from any rhythm. It's designed to be a creative assistant that lives right in your digital audio workstation.

The plugin uses specific neural network architectures for different tasks. The 'Continue' tool employs a recurrent neural network to predict what notes should come next. 'Generate' and 'Interpolate' use a Variational Autoencoder trained on millions of melodies and rhythms to create new material or find intermediate steps between two clips. 'Groove' and 'Drumify' are based on models trained on 15 hours of real drummer performances, learning to add the subtle timing and velocity variations that make music feel human.

This tool is for musicians and producers who use Ableton Live and want to experiment with AI as a co-creator. It's particularly useful when you need a quick variation on a loop, want to add organic feel to rigid drums, or are looking for a spark of inspiration.
