Mozaik

Mozaik is an open-source TypeScript runtime for building autonomous AI agent teams. Instead of hardcoding specific workflows or handoffs, agents communicate, coordinate, and decide who to involve as collaboration emerges at runtime. You define agents with awareness of each other and a shared environment, then let them react to events like a peer joining, leaving, or sending a message.

The tool is built on an event-driven core: every inference call, tool execution, and message is an event on the bus. Agents subscribe to events they care about and act immediately without waiting. Inference runs in a fire-and-forget style – you kick off an LLM call and move on; results return as events that other agents can pick up. Mozaik runs multiple agents in parallel by default while keeping them coordinated through shared context. This adaptive approach means collaboration paths form dynamically, not from a static diagram.

Mozaik is ideal for developers building complex multi-agent systems, researchers experimenting with agent architectures, and teams automating multi-step tasks that require changing roles and shifting responsibilities.
