Offsend CLI

Offsend is a local-first privacy toolkit that helps developers and teams audit their code repositories, project files, and AI chat prompts for exposed secrets, sensitive paths, and missing ignore rules before ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or Copilot see them. It offers several tools: a free online GitHub scan (Check), a terminal CLI with git hooks and CI integration, a macOS desktop app with drag-and-drop and Safe Paste, and a browser extension that masks API keys and tokens in AI prompt fields.

The core idea is simple: Offsend reads file paths and ignore rules, not file contents, so your actual code stays private. The CLI and desktop app run entirely locally on your Mac — no data is uploaded to Offsend servers. The browser extension works in real-time, detecting and masking sensitive data like .env variables, .pem keys, and npm credentials before you hit send in ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. For repo audits, Check scans public GitHub repos and reports risk categories without revealing full file paths. The Radar product monitors AI-exposure signals across repositories for a broader view.

Offsend is ideal for developers who use AI coding assistants and want to avoid leaking credentials or proprietary code. It's also useful for teams that need to enforce ignore rules (like .gitignore or .aiexclude) before committing changes.
