GeekLink is a Mac desktop app that pulls clean, editable subtitles out of any video. It handles two common scenarios: when subtitles are burned into the picture (like anime rips or Douyin reposts) and when there's only spoken audio with no captions at all. For burned-in text, you draw a box over the subtitle area and GeekLink reads the text off each frame using OCR, ignoring logos and watermarks. For audio, on-device speech recognition transcribes speech into a timed subtitle track. Everything runs locally on your Mac — nothing is uploaded to the cloud.

Once you have a subtitle track, GeekLink lets you translate it into 40+ languages using AI (Claude, GPT-4o, or DeepSeek), with natural line-breaking that keeps phrases intact. The editor flags lines that need review so you don't have to check the whole file. You can batch-process entire seasons, fixing a name once across all episodes. Export as SRT, ASS, or burn styled subtitles directly onto the video.
