Privacy is a central design principle: all notes are encrypted with your own password, and Ember cannot read them. Optional encrypted cloud sync uses Singapore servers. The company states it never sells data, runs no ads, and never trains AI on your information. AI features run on a daily point system — each question uses one point, with free users getting 5 per day, Pro users 100, and Ultra users 200, resetting every 24 hours. There are no per-question charges.
