What does Murmell do?

Murmell is a web-based platform that lets you run multiple AI coding agents — like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, and Kimi — in a single shared repository and canvas. Instead of each agent working in its own isolated copy, Murmell puts them all in one directory. You describe what you want built, and Murmell spawns the agents, assigns them files, and gets out of the way. The result is a live, collaborative coding session where every change lands in real time and you can share a link for your team to watch.

What makes Murmell stand out is its file-locking system. Each agent must claim a file before it writes to it. Only one agent can hold a file at a time, so there are no merge conflicts at the end — nothing forked at the start. You can also use voice commands to spawn agents and assign tasks. The platform runs the command-line tools you already pay for on its own machines; it doesn't resell API access or store your keys. A live preview shows the application being built as agents work, and you can cycle through agent terminals to see their progress.

Murmell is built for software developers and engineering teams who want to use multiple AI coding agents together without the usual chaos of parallel edits. It's especially useful for prototyping full-stack applications quickly, teaching collaborative coding workflows, or just seeing how different agents approach the same codebase. The free tier includes a launch offer with Claude credits, and there's no installation required — everything runs in the browser.
