What does ADE do?

ADE is a development environment built for the era of AI coding agents. Instead of installing each agent in its own tool, you get one app that connects to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, T3 Code, and others, and lets you run them from a single prompt box. It comes in three forms: a desktop app for Mac and Windows, a terminal-native version called ADE Code, and an iOS companion. Everything stays in sync across all three, so you can start a session at your desk and continue from your phone.

The main workspace is organized around four pillars. Worktrees can be created with one action, giving each task its own checkout, terminals, ports, and history. Agent chat lets you launch any supported coding agent in a side-by-side grid and see messages, tool calls, and proofs mirrored everywhere. Pull requests can be opened from a finished chat, reviewed with diffs and CI status, and merged without leaving the app. The built-in work tools include a shared browser pane for web QA, an iOS Simulator, and app controls scoped to the active worktree. There is also a worktree graph, subagents, remote runtimes, and Linear integration for issue tracking.

ADE is most useful for developers who already use more than one AI coding tool and want a single place to manage them. Because it keeps the same worktrees and chat history on desktop, terminal, and iOS, it's practical for anyone who moves between machines or wants to check on an agent run from their phone. It also cuts out the constant tab-switching between an editor, GitHub, and terminal by handling PRs and worktrees inside the app.
