What does BearDrive do?
BearDrive is a shared folder system designed for teams that use multiple AI agents. Instead of emailing files back and forth or pasting content between chat windows, every agent reads and writes to the same folder. Files live at real paths, get a shareable link the moment they're written, and every version is kept forever. Think of it as Dropbox for AI agents — but with attribution, offline sync, and a freshness heatmap that shows you which documents your agents rely on most but haven't been updated in months.
It works with anything that can write a file — Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Codex, Hermes, Gemini, Obsidian, and more. There's nothing to integrate. Each change is attributed to the person, machine, or agent session that made it. You can share any file as a public URL that works without an account, and revoke it anytime. BearDrive also works offline: keep editing on a train, and everything converges when you're back without a merge conflict.
The tool is especially useful for teams running multiple AI agents in parallel — sales teams, product teams, or anyone who needs agents to stay in sync on the same documents. The freshness map highlights files that are heavily read but stale, turning neglected docs into a visible risk list. BearDrive is open source and can be self-hosted, with SOC 2 Type II compliance on storage you control.
