I Like Movies

I Like Movies is a free Android app that tracks films and TV series in one place and tries to solve the part that usually goes wrong: picking what to watch. You can log what you've seen, rate it out of five, keep private notes, and use an AI assistant that answers plain-language requests like "short and funny for a Tuesday" or "the one with the submarine and the cook." It also builds monthly collections from your own ratings, and it can import a Letterboxd .zip or IMDb .csv, so your history doesn't have to start from zero.

The AI is the interesting part. Instead of showing popular titles, it works from what you actually finish. The Discover tab rebuilds collections each month based on your ratings, most-watched genre, and the director or actor you return to most. The chat assistant knows your history, so it won't recommend something you've already seen, and it can read a voice message or a photo of a list. There's also a social side: follow friends, compare taste, and share titles that open directly in their app. Households get a shared library, so adding a film on your phone puts it on everyone else's watchlist. Episode tracking, per-country streaming availability, stats, and a top-four film profile round it out.

This suits people who keep a film log, couples or housemates who manage one watchlist, and anyone migrating from Letterboxd, IMDb, Trakt, or TV Time. It's free, ad-free, and the iOS version is still in development. If you just want to spend less time staring at logos and more time actually watching, this is a straightforward option.
