What does MindMapAny do?
MindMapAny turns long documents into editable mind maps, and it does that with a focus on traceability. Paste in text, upload a PDF, DOCX, EPUB or PPTX, or drop in a web link, and the tool builds a hierarchy of up to 110 nodes. A 200-page report does not come back as a flat summary; it comes back as a map you can open branch by branch, with each node carrying a pointer back to its place in the source.
The pipeline is simple: extract the body text, split it into chunks, anchor each chunk to its location, then let a language model build the hierarchy. Because anchors are assigned before the model sees the text, PDF nodes keep real page numbers and PPTX nodes keep slide positions. The model references chunk IDs rather than inventing locations. Maps stay editable after generation. Double-click a node to rename it, Tab adds a child node, Enter adds a sibling, Space collapses a branch. You can also choose from 30+ output languages independently of the source, so a French paper can produce an English map, and adjust depth settings to control how many levels and nodes appear.
MindMapAny is for people who read carefully: researchers working through papers, students with ebooks, analysts reviewing reports or slide decks. It also handles meeting minutes and transcripts, which makes it handy for turning unstructured notes into a coherent outline. The Chrome extension covers web articles, and exports to PNG, SVG or Markdown make maps easy to keep or share. Public links let someone view a map read-only without creating an account. Free accounts start with 30 credits, enough to try text and web page inputs; long documents draw on paid plan or credit balances.
