Delta is a new collaborative environment from the creators of Zed, built for the way software gets made today — with AI agents writing code faster than humans can review it. Instead of staring at a cold diff, Delta preserves the full thread of work behind every change: the prompts, the searches, the back-and-forth between developers and agents. It’s a review tool that gives you context, not just a list of file diffs.

The core idea is that coding with agents is inherently multiplayer. You can invite teammates into the same thread to watch, comment, and work alongside an AI agent in real time. Every agent action — every search, file read, test run, and code edit — is recorded and linked to the conversation. Reviewers can comment on any line of the generated code or on the agent’s reasoning, and those comments stay anchored even as the code evolves. Delta also lets you run agents locally or in the cloud, and sync the entire conversation and codebase across desktop and web.
