Eigent AI is an open-source desktop app that behaves less like a chatbot and more like a small team you can delegate work to. You type a task — say, “Research the latest AI market trends and summarize key insights” — and it dispatches that work to one agent or a whole workforce. Around four specialized agents are available from the start: a Browser Agent for online research, a Terminal Agent for command-line work, a Multi-modal Agent for image and visual tasks, and a Document Agent for reading and writing files. Finished files land in an Agent Folder on your machine, alongside reports, CSVs, and charts the agents generate.
