What does Warren do?
Warren is an open-source, self-hosted platform that turns coding agents from ad‑hoc terminal sessions into managed, observable workloads. Instead of running an agent interactively and hoping it finishes, you dispatch a task to Warren, and it handles the workspace, execution, limits, live events, intervention, recovery, and Git delivery. It’s built for teams that need agent runs to be repeatable, auditable, and safe — not just a one‑off experiment.
Warren works by defining a run model that every trigger uses: an operator, a schedule, or an API client can start a run. Each run gets a disposable sandbox (bwrap, Docker, or Kubernetes), and structured events stream live so you can see exactly what the agent is doing. You set USD caps per project or agent, and Warren enforces them during the run. If something goes wrong, you can cancel or send a correction. When the run finishes, Warren pushes the branch and can open a pull request. The current distribution includes adapters for Pi and Claude Code, and any harness with a Warren runtime adapter can use the same lifecycle.
