Entropic

Entropic is a desktop application that puts an AI agent directly on your computer. Instead of working through a web browser or relying on a cloud service, you download the app, pick an AI model (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, DeepSeek, or others), and start giving it commands. The agent can browse and summarize web pages, read and edit files in your workspace, send messages through WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, or iMessage, search your Gmail and Google Calendar, and run scheduled tasks — all from a single chat window. Your files and workspace stay on your machine; only the prompts you send go to the AI provider you choose.

The app runs code inside an isolated sandbox that can't access your personal files unless you explicitly allow it. It also includes persistent memory, so the agent remembers context from previous conversations and builds on what it knows over time. You can schedule recurring jobs using cron or interval options, and the agent will run them in the background. Setup is straightforward: download, sign in, and the onboarding guides you through connecting your preferred AI provider and any integrations you want. There's no terminal work required.
