What does Nodlume do?
Nodlume is a visual workspace for planning React applications. Instead of jumping straight into code, you map out screens, data flows, APIs, user roles, and theming in a single connected canvas. It supports multiple target platforms — web (Next.js), desktop (Tauri), mobile (Expo), terminal (Ink), and browser extensions (Manifest V3) — and understands the conventions of each stack. Once your plan is complete, Nodlume exports a project report, an implementation plan, and scaffolded code that you can open in your editor.
The workspace is organized into tabs that let you define screens, state, API endpoints, roles, and delivery settings. You can compose UI primitives from shadcn/ui or React Native to avoid rebuilding common components. The design reference area helps you name and tokenize color, typography, spacing, and dark mode — turning visual decisions into reusable design tokens. Nodlume also includes AI-assisted planning: with credits, you can describe what you need and have the tool help generate screens, data models, or even whole sections of the plan.
This tool is most useful for React developers and designers who want to think through an app’s architecture before writing code. It’s also handy for product teams that need a shared, visual reference for screens and data. If you prefer a structured planning process over sketching in a whiteboard, Nodlume gives you a path from idea to deliverable code in minutes.
