LLaDA-Image

LLaDA-Image is an open-source AI tool that generates and edits images from text prompts and instructions. It comes in two variants: Base for high-detail rendering (around 50 sampling steps) and Turbo for fast iterations (2–4 steps using Twin-DMD distillation). The model also handles bilingual Chinese-English text, making it practical for posters, signage, and layout drafts. Users can pick the mode that suits their need for quality or speed.

The model uses a unified diffusion stack that covers both generation and editing without a separate backbone. For editing, you upload a reference image and describe the change — the model keeps the subject identity while updating style or content. A VQ-conditioned mode lets you generate images from token sequences without an input image. The online workspace mirrors the same pipeline, and the fully open weights and code are available on Hugging Face and GitHub.
