What does Bitrig do?

Bitrig is a Mac app that builds native Swift apps from a text description. You say what you want — a habit tracker, a restaurant menu app, a workout log — and it generates a real Xcode project with actual Swift code, not a mockup. You can open the project in Xcode anytime and keep working on it yourself.

Under the hood, Bitrig uses AI coding agents: Claude Code from Anthropic and Codex from OpenAI. It runs the app inside built-in 3D device simulators and tests it the way a person would, tapping, scrolling, and typing. When it finds a bug, it fixes it. You can connect an existing Claude or ChatGPT subscription instead of paying per-token API prices. The app also takes care of the parts of shipping that slow developers down: creating App Store records, uploading builds to TestFlight, managing App Store Connect, and setting up subscriptions, in-app purchases, and paywalls through StoreKit or RevenueCat. A companion app called Bitrig Remote works from iPhone and iPad, so you can control builds away from your desk.

Bitrig suits developers who want to move faster, as well as people with an app idea who don't want to learn all of Xcode first. It's handy for indie developers juggling multiple apps, and for small teams that want to test an idea on the App Store quickly. With its weekly updates, the tool is improving fast.
