What does Tabbit AI do?
Tabbit is an AI-powered desktop browser for macOS and Windows. Instead of treating tabs as isolated pages, it lets an AI agent use everything on screen: open tabs, PDFs, bookmarks, local files, screenshots, and highlighted text. Type a request like "What's Hacker News saying about Sora 2?" and Tabbit reads your open tab, plans, and answers. Point it at a file or highlighted element and it can work with that too. The idea is that the browser becomes a workspace that acts on what you're looking at.
To do that, Tabbit runs several specialized agents. Research reads papers, Operator runs crawlers, Writer drafts, and Analyst crunches data. Each can be equipped with Skills — the site lists 2,000 agentic skills for the top 100 sites people use daily, like pulling quotes and timestamps from a two-hour podcast or filtering a crowded feed down to the few uploads worth your time. The browser also tries to stay current on models: GPT-5.6, Claude Sonnet 5, Gemini 3.8 Flash, Kimi K3, GLM 5.3, DeepSeek V4, Qwen 3.8, and others are available shortly after release. On privacy, Tabbit keeps highlights, chats, and saved pages local by default, and its security controls are examined under SOC 2 Type I. The FAQ notes the product is built by Lumina Lab, a Singapore-registered company.
This makes Tabbit most useful for people who do heavy reading and research in a browser: podcasters, writers, analysts, and anyone who keeps dozens of tabs open and wants an AI to sort, summarize, and act on them. Pricing is freemium — the browser is free forever, with a weekly AI allowance, and setting it as your default browser unlocks 10× the usage. A Pro tier exists for heavy users who need the best models more often.
