VibePad

VibePad is a macOS menu bar application that lets you control your AI coding assistant using a gamepad controller. It works with Claude Code and Codex CLI, allowing you to navigate AI suggestions, submit prompts, and manage your coding workflow entirely from your controller. You can use PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, or generic HID controllers to interact with your AI coding tools.

The tool offers two layers of controls—a base layer for common coding actions and an L1 layer for app switching and window management. Everything is customizable through JSON configuration files.
