Domscribe is a developer tool that connects AI coding agents directly to your web application's frontend. It solves a fundamental problem: while AI agents can read and edit source code files, they cannot see what's actually rendered in the browser. Domscribe bridges this gap by injecting stable identifiers during build time and providing runtime context capture, allowing agents to understand exactly which code corresponds to which UI elements.

The tool works by parsing your JSX and Vue templates during compilation, assigning each element a deterministic ID, and creating a manifest that maps these IDs to precise file locations. When you click an element in your running application, Domscribe can instantly identify its source code location. Conversely, your AI agent can query Domscribe to see exactly what renders at any given source location, including live DOM snapshots, component props, and state information.

Domscribe is particularly valuable for developers using AI coding assistants like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor. It eliminates the guesswork when making frontend changes, ensuring agents edit the correct files on the first attempt. The tool supports multiple frameworks including React, Vue, Next.js, and Nuxt, works with major bundlers like Vite and Webpack, and is completely removed from production builds to maintain performance and security.
