Agentation

Agentation is a visual feedback tool designed specifically for AI coding agents. It lets developers click on any UI element in their web application, add annotations with specific feedback, and generate structured markdown output that AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex can understand and act upon. Instead of describing elements vaguely ('the blue button in the sidebar'), developers provide precise CSS selectors, source file paths, and React component hierarchies that AI agents can use to directly locate and address issues.

The tool works through a simple browser-based interface with a toolbar that appears in the bottom-right corner. Users hover over elements to see their names highlighted, click to add annotations, write feedback, and copy formatted markdown to paste into their AI coding tools. With MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration, the process becomes even smoother—agents can directly access annotations without copy-paste, enabling conversational feedback loops where agents can ask for clarification or confirm when issues are resolved.

Agentation is particularly valuable for frontend developers and teams using AI coding assistants for rapid development and debugging. It transforms vague visual feedback into precise, actionable instructions that AI agents can execute accurately, making it especially useful for UI component debugging, styling adjustments, content fixes, and collaborative code review processes where visual context matters.
