What does Slide do?
Slide is a motorized device that turns your existing curtains into smart, automated ones. You install it on your current curtain rod or rail without tools — the company calls it Click&Slide. Once mounted, you use a companion app to open and close curtains on a timer, by voice, or remotely from anywhere. It works with most standard curtains and even heavy or double layers thanks to a strong motor and a cable normally used in parachutes.
The Slide app walks you through setup with step-by-step videos. After that, you can set an alarm clock that opens the curtains with natural light, enable a holiday mode that opens and closes at random intervals to mimic occupancy, and adjust speed from super slow to fast. The device also supports smart home integrations — it connects with platforms like Alexa and Google Home so you can use voice commands. For the Pro version, more advanced integrations are available.
