What does rec'd do?
rec'd is a mobile app that helps you discover restaurants, bars, and experiences based on recommendations from people you trust. Instead of scrolling through generic reviews or saving endless bookmarks and screenshots, you get a personalized feed of places recommended by your friends and favorite creators. The app learns what you like and surfaces spots you'll actually enjoy, cutting through the noise of traditional review sites and social media feeds.
The app works by letting you follow friends and creators, then pulling their recommendations into one sleek, curated feed. You can save places, build collaborative lists with friends, and view everything on an integrated map to plan your next outing. rec'd uses AI to tailor suggestions to your tastes, so the more you use it, the better it gets at showing you hidden gems rather than tourist traps. It also solves the problem of group chat chaos — no more endless back-and-forth deciding where to go.
rec'd is built for foodies, travelers, and anyone tired of juggling multiple apps to find a good spot. Whether you're looking for a new brunch place, planning a night out with friends, or want to follow a local food blogger's picks, rec'd keeps everything in one place. It's especially useful for people who value recommendations from their network over anonymous reviews.
