What does Airuncode do?
Airuncode is a desktop application that runs AI coding agents directly on your machine. You connect your own API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, etc.) and pay the provider's price — Airuncode adds zero markup. The agents can analyze your codebase, write code, run tests, and fix failures, all while keeping your code and prompts on your local disk. It's designed for developers who want AI assistance without sending their code to a third-party cloud service or paying per-token fees to a middleman.
When you give Airuncode a task, it first scans your project (up to 262k tokens of context), then runs a multi-agent debate where different agents challenge each other's solutions until the best approach wins. The winning agent makes direct edits to your filesystem, runs tests automatically, and if something fails, it reads the logs and stack traces to self-heal — re-running until the test suite passes. You can run unlimited agents in parallel, and the Context AI feature tracks token usage with a live meter, offering compaction strategies to keep the agent focused. It supports hundreds of models through OpenRouter, NVIDIA, DeepSeek, and local GGUF files.
Airuncode is best for solo developers and small teams who want a private, cost-controlled AI coding assistant. It's especially useful for automating repetitive coding tasks like building endpoints, writing tests, or refactoring — without worrying about per-seat fees or data leaving your computer. The free tier gives you two 48-hour keys per week, and the Pro plan ($15/month) removes those limits. If you value privacy, direct billing, and the ability to use any model, this is a solid option.
