What does QVAC do?

QVAC is an open-source platform that brings AI to your own device — phone, laptop, or even a robot — without needing an internet connection or cloud servers. It's a complete ecosystem: a single SDK that handles text generation, image creation, speech recognition, translation, and more, all running locally. The entire project is free under Apache 2.0, so there are no API bills or per-token costs. You download the models, and they live on your hardware.

What makes QVAC stand out is its focus on on-device inference. The SDK supports over a dozen AI tasks through one unified API in JavaScript or Python. You get text generation, embeddings for search and RAG, transcription, translation, image generation, text-to-speech, OCR, fine-tuning (even LoRA on a phone), vision, classification, and image upscaling. Everything runs offline. The ecosystem also includes QVAC Genesis, a large open dataset of synthetic STEM reasoning for training your own models, and QVAC Fabric, an engine for fine-tuning models directly on your device. QVAC Psy are specialized models designed to run on the hardware you already own.

This tool is ideal for developers who want to build AI-powered apps without managing cloud infrastructure or paying per-user inference costs. It's also great for privacy-conscious users who don't want their data leaving their device, and for anyone who needs AI in places with no internet — on a plane, in the field, or in remote areas. Real-world examples include an offline science tutor for students, a clinical triage assistant for community health workers, and a local-first crypto trading agent. If you want AI that's truly yours, QVAC delivers.
