What does Project SKY do?

Project SKY is an AI companion built specifically for Windows 11. It lives on your desktop, watches what you're doing on screen, and responds to voice or text commands to help you get things done. Unlike a web chatbot or browser extension, SKY integrates deeply with the operating system — it can launch apps, run PowerShell scripts, organize windows, and remember your projects across sessions. The tool is currently in private alpha development, with a waitlist for early access.

SKY works by combining several AI capabilities into one ambient assistant. It uses real-time screen perception (powered by NVIDIA Llama 3.2 90B and Groq fallback) to understand what's on your display — code, UI layouts, documentation — and offers help without you having to describe the context. Voice interaction is handled through Groq Whisper Large v3 Turbo for near-instant speech recognition and synthesis. A unified memory system tracks your active windows, task goals, and even syncs with Obsidian Markdown vaults, so SKY remembers your preferences and project context between sessions. Privacy is a focus: API keys and notes stay on your local disk, and all streams are encrypted.

Project SKY is designed for developers, power users, and anyone who spends long hours in front of a Windows machine and wants to reduce context switching. Real-world use cases include getting code error diagnostics just by looking at your editor, asking SKY to set up your workspace layout for a new project, or having it summarize information from multiple open browser tabs and local files without you lifting a finger. Because it's still in development, some features like full OS automation are on the roadmap rather than available today.
