What does Blume.codes do?
Blume.codes is a desktop app that sits alongside your coding agents — Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and others — and watches what they do. It collects the rules, skills, and hooks you've set up, tracks how each agent uses them, and surfaces suggestions when something could be better. Think of it as a sidecar that keeps your agent configuration honest and up to date.
The app runs locally on your Mac. All your conversation history stays on your device. It shows a dashboard where you can see what each agent is working on right now, how much of your provider quota you've used, and a list of suggestions for improving your agent setup. For example, if you've repeatedly asked an agent to run tests before marking a change as ready, Blume will notice that pattern and suggest adding a verification rule. You can preview the exact diff, then apply or dismiss the suggestion. The analytics section tracks corrections, steering, and frustration metrics over 30 days, so you can see how your agents are evolving.
This tool is for developers who use multiple AI coding agents and want to keep their configuration clean and effective. Instead of manually digging through agent files to remember what rules you set, Blume.codes shows everything in one place and proactively points out what needs attention. It's especially useful for teams that share agent configs or for solo developers who switch between agents frequently. By catching repeated corrections and turning them into permanent rules, it helps agents get better over time without you having to do the housekeeping.
